How do I report content or block someone?
Long-press any post or comment → Report or Block. Manage blocked neighbors in Profile → Blocked neighbors. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Does Vicini know my address?
No. You pick an approximate home area on a map; it's rounded to about a block's worth of blur before it ever leaves your phone. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Profile tab → Delete account, or email us. The details are below.
Deleting your Vicini account
In the app (iPhone or Android): open the Profile tab, tap Delete account, and confirm. It happens right away.
Without the app: email support@vicini.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm it is you and delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
Immediately and permanently: your account and sign-in details, your profile and home area, your posts, your comments and reactions, events you host and your RSVPs, your porch light, its weekly schedule and the waves you sent, the messages you sent, the reports and blocks you made, your ice cream truck reports, your push notification tokens, and our record of your Vicini+ subscription. The photos from your posts are removed from our storage within a day.
What is kept, and for how long
- Our backups hold a copy for up to 7 days, then it is gone from those too.
- Reports other neighbors made about your posts or messages may be kept as long as we need them for safety and enforcement.
- Your Vicini+ subscription itself is managed by Apple or Google, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions, or in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records.
- We can't pull back what a neighbor already saw or screenshotted before you deleted.
